Fastball is not for everyone.
Fastballonly. Loyalty. Loyalty to yourself, to each other, to the team, and to the program is our greatest asset. If you are committed to Fastball, then Fastball is committed to you.
Trust each other, accept each other for what everyone brings to the table, know everyone's strengths and weaknesses, and just figure out how to make it happen.
A great team is greater than the sum of its parts. This only happens when everyone buys into the system.
We expect your best effort. If you dont give your best effort, then you are cheating yourself and you are cheating your team.
A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. So it is the responsibility of each player and the job of the coach to improve the performance of every team member.
Improvement and winning are fundamental to our mission. That may be oversimplifying it, but that's basically the truth.
Results matter.
Every player should play. We have a no cut policy, and place players by ability so that everyone can compete at their own level. It is not any fun to sit on the bench behind much better players. By the same token, it is not fun if you go unchallenged by inferior players.
We want every player to be happy. Let's face it. No one is getting paid to play here. You are paying money to play, so you should see court time.
If you are not happy then something needs to change. Communication is key.
Financially, everyone contributes their fair share.
Hold yourself to the highest standard. Do not settle for less.
Talent matters. No way around it. The same goes for game experience, height, speed, athleticism, fundamentals, court sense, intelligence, unselfishness, and enthusiasm. Use your god given gifts to be a game changer.
Take responsibility. We want to develop leaders. Obviously every player is not going to be the team captain, but by taking responsibility and ownership, you are always ready step it up- on or off the court.
Embrace adversity and see it as a opportunity to overcome. Nothing worthwhile in life is going to come easy.
Make a difference every time you step onto the hardwood. Not everyone is going to hit the game winning shot at the buzzer, but if you get that important rebound, make that pass, or set the big screen, then you are making a difference.
Know your role. Sacrifice is part of the game.
There is no replacement for hard work.
We want to challenge every player to become the very best player he/she can be.
The end goal is to do what it takes to put ourselves in the best position to win.
Be the teammate that everyone wants on the floor with them.
Support your teammates to the very end.
Fastball is family.
